Mermaid dollies are very silly and happy. They talk about going to the beach and the ocean all the time. They have very high, squeaky voices and are very outgoing and playful. Mermaid dollies have a whole bunch of games that they made up together and that they like to play, based on various kinds of sea life. Their games include “clam”, “bubble”, "seaweed", “piranha”, “flounder”, “pearl”, "electric eel", "shark", "pearl", and “clam”. Mermaid Claradolly taught Monster Claradolly how to play "clam". Monster Claradolly was at first upset because she couldn't play it the same way because her arms were not as flexible as the Mermaid Claradolly's. Later Mermaid Claradolly figured out a way so that Monster Claradolly could play it together with her.

Mermaid Alexdolly's favorite game is blowfish, which is a game where he asks Alexdolly to play blowfish by poking him. When Alexdolly puffs his cheeks, Mermaid Alexdolly pops Alexdolly's cheeks with his hands. Then Mermaid Alexdolly will giggle uncontrollably. Mermaid dollies also have pets. They saw that the Monster dollies had their own pets and wanted some too. Sometimes mermaid dollies can be kind of clueless about how other dollies around them are feeling; just sometimes they don't get the obvious.
